• Mentoring: The instructor is open to mentoring an instructor candidate.

This RCABC canoe instructors course covers the requirements for the Lakewater Instructor Basic and Advanced certification. Paddling experience is strongly recommended. This certification will develop your canoeing, canoe theory, canoe rescues, teaching methods, group management, and group safety skills. Successful completion will allow the Instructor to teach the RCABC Basic and/or Advanced Tandem and Solo canoe courses. All canoeing equipment is supplied. All participants must become an RCABC Instructor Member ($65) prior to course start date and download (free) a copy of the Instructor manual. Basic course ($500) will run Mar 13/14/15/21 and Mar 29/30. Advanced course ($800) will run Mar 13/14/15, 21/22, and Mar 28/29/30.
