RCABC Lakewater Instructor Advanced Clinic and Exam. This course will be held at Sasamat Outdoor Centre on June 13/14 and 20/21 (2 consecutive weekends). Strong Advanced Tandem and Solo paddling skills are required (prerequisite: RCABC Lakewater Tandem and Solo or equivalent). The course will fine tune paddling skills, techniques and rescues and develop group management, teaching, planning skills. All canoes, paddles, pfds and safety equipment are supplied. Successful participants will be able to teach and certify RCABC Lakewater Basic and Advanced Tandem and Solo courses. RCABC Instructor Membership is required prior to the course ($75 @bccanoe.com) and is not included in the course fee. RCABC Basic Lakewater Instructor course Instructor course September 16th (Evening on Zoom) and September 19th and 20th Coquitlam - Buntzen Lake $300 plus GST. This course, is for teachers and people working with youth, who are experienced paddlers and wish to receive Canoe Instructor certifications to be able to certify their students. It will cover the competencies and content for the new RCABC Basic Lakewater Instructor course. This course certifies successful candidates to teach RCABC Lakewater Basic Tandem and Solo. The course fee does not include the membership fee for RCABC which must be paid prior to the course.Rental canoes are available.
