This course, is for teachers and people working with youth, who are experienced paddlers, and wish to receive Canoe Instructor certifications and be able to certify their students. It will cover the competencies and content for the new RCABC Lakewater Instructor Level 1 course. This course certifies successful candidates to teach RCABC Lakewater Level 1 and 2. It will also include the Paddle Canada Intro Tandem and Solo Instructor course which allows successful candidates to teach PC's Intro, Canoeing Basics and Waterfront Skills. Candidates should be strong paddlers and have experience paddling both Tandem and Solo. The course fee does not include the membership fee for either organization which must be paid prior to the course. Rental canoes are available. May 5-6, 2018. This is a two day course. RCABC River Rescue Level 1 is for anyone who is paddling on moving water. It recognizes that capsizes are inevitable and the best strategy is to learn to deal with them quickly and safely. River rescue Level 1 is an in depth practice session of what to do after capsize in a variety of situations. RCABC Lakewater Level 2 Instructor /Paddle Canada Advanced Lakewater Instructor This course allows successful candidates to take RCABC instructor courses in other disciplines and is the top level of Lakewater Instructor. Recreational Canoeing Association of BC Tripping Leader /Paddle Canada Tripping Instructor Course. May 26th, 27th, June 2nd and 3rd. Great for teachers, Canoeing guides, Outdoor program leaders, Canoe club trip leaders.
